Macdonald's...can?

In this age of technology, the impossible can become possible. Men to women, women to men, drop in USD, the recent economic bubble of AIG and the likes. BUT...cheese burger in a can? That is processed food being processed. How much progress in the process-ing before we say it is too much? =X. Anyway, the burger in a can is real.

P.S. I got this info from my email =p (thanks Rach.)

I even went to find the webbie: click here

Would you pay €3.95 (about S$8.20) for cheese burger?

The good 'ol times before computers

I came across this email and couldn't resist the temptation to share with you guys. And if you still remember this, then we are from the same generation. Arrr, the good ol' days. =)

'rubber' fights
"Captain Planet! Who's the hero? Gonna take....down to zero!" forgot the lyrics =p

I used to have this. Make all sort of creepy crawlies.
Slightly sweet with a BLOW of BBQ taste.
BEE-BEE! My favourite from the 'MAMA' shop

All boys' and tomboys' FAV when they were growing up - POWER RANGERS! "It's morphing time!"

Enjoy the nostalgia =)

Got Milk?!

Due to the recent events of recalled product that consist of milk from China, I decided to post this:

The list of Recalled items. (click to view. Download the pictures for reference)

True or not, just stay away from those products. Debates have started over the trust we placed with AVA but...this gives a whole new meaning to being PLASTIC =p

Stay safe by not going for China products. Sounds really mean but hey, the reality is the middleman are poisoning us.

Anyway, on a lighter note, this is the FACT of the day! Click the picture to view the words of wisdom. =p

Gosh! I have not been updating my blog. Kinda busy with all the FYP and work stuff. Anyway, This is kinda late. Went to have a fantastic dinner with my besties, Hui Yi and Kim Leng. Will miss you Kims when you go Korea. Please come back safely and it doesn't matter if you don't buy anything for me k. Right Hui Yi?! Gosh, it has been 3 years since we graduate from High school. Kinda sad huh. Oh well, life goes on.

Place of dinner: Full House

Yeap! Like the drama, Full House. Love the show by the way. A must catch for ALL korean drama addicts =).

Thinking thoughts =)

Thinking post again! I have no idea why but recently, I have been thinking a lot. Okay, so I do think too much some times, but this week has been filled with loads of thoughts. So much so, I am have a massive headache right now. So, if anyone is reading this, pay no heed to my nonsensical words =)

Although my life seems to be jammed packed (which is why I decided to get myself a schedule planner; I made one myself =p) with work and Major Project but still, life fills mundane. Perhaps I have gotten used to this level of stress for the past 3 years. Oh God! Don't even get my started with my poly life. Missing out opportunities, not putting enough effort, doing the nerd way in poly and the list goes on. I did enjoy my poly life but not in the way I think most people do. Everything that people said about poly life (care-free, STRESS-free = my arse) is really BS. I mean especially for Science courses. It is practically like having to attend JC just that we have more 'hands-on' which are also controlled and half the time, I don't really understand what is happening (not the cooking ones but then again, some where kinda weird). Perhaps, I am really bad at everything I do. The only thing I am good at, thinking. LOL =p

It scares me when I have deja vu. Why? Because I have STM and I can't seem to fit the piece in the puzzle even though I have a glimsp of it. Which brings me to religion. How far would one go for religion? Because if I hear another 'come to my Church', I might just BLOW at that person. Youngsters these days (LOL, I am a youngster myself) go on and on about cell group and Church. Yes, I don't deny in the Almight up there BUT would they stop with the cell group thing? I mean, mixing with just one group of people is just plain UNHEALTHY! Talking about God and Christianity ALL day long? Preparing for the 'after life'? Why don't we just do it the Egyptian way - Mummies. LOL. But seriously, I don't consider myself Christian but I do practise SOME (must captial it, in case people think I am some goody-two shoes) of what was stated in the bible. I beg youngsters with the mindset of socialising in cell group to re-organise their thoughts and reasons for joining the Church. Getting a religion is about believing and if you are not there for that then don't even bother. ON THE OTHER HAND, I cannot understand the fanatics. I mean, is preparing for the 'after life' so great that the Almight asks of you to sacrifise the material wealth and enjoyment in the present world? Is it worth it? Yes, please continue so. At least you have a purpose in life (kow tow) but do not try to 'convert' others ESPECIALLY at their death bed (OMG, this leads me to another topic) and if you NO, please re-consider your options too.

To the part where to convert someone on their death bed. I don't think it works that way. To believe in God just to go Heaven in that short period of time, isn't that kind of cheating? Anyway, can't be bothered to continue because it is nearly 3am in the morning, I have work tml and edition of my MP. Good night everybody and hope that the Monday blues don't get to ya =)

P.S. I did lose weight =) but I should concentrate on losing fat. AJA AJA HWAITING!

Realisation.

Doing the complete opposite of what I should have done. huh? Attitudes and ideas change. Maybe it was just an unspoken realisation of our society. Meaning what was once there is gone in a sec; believes that I held onto, dissolved in an instant.

http://hazel8500.files.wordpress.com/2008/05/tracksfade1.jpeg

Fuzzy images, fuzzy memories. My STM kicking in I guess. "Good!" or so I thought. Until...
I am glad I have seen the light at the end of the tunnel. *sighs* but that eminent light seems to be different from what I perceive it to be. And yet, at times, flashes occur which leave me guessing did I forget them on purpose? I feel I don't even know myself at times.

What is another day after the years that passed by. What is pain when it is what I have felt for so long? yin-yang theory: How white is white if black have never existed; how good is good if there is no such thing as bad; what is pain if one has never felt hurt before and the list goes on.
Being in a situation that should never have existed but sadly, it does. Period.

CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT WEEK! - Kabs is coming to SINGAPORE =)

講华語

For this post, I will try blogging in Chinese! Never before attempted stunt. LOL. Here goes:

to be continued...

Talk

Talk. Words from our voices or typed out messages. It is kind of amazing how something like that *snap* can make us have so much feelings.

Sunken eyes and hoarse voices are just two hand-in-hand combination you won't wanna have. In addition with tired soles from work and running, life can't get any better can it? Perhaps, I should stop my rantings and do a bit of self-reflection for the day: placing my feet into other people's shoes. *not that I have the same feet size though =X*

In all honesty, if I couldn't, I wouldn't be as emotional as I am now. Or before. LOL. I am much emotionally stronger than before, if I can say so myself. Be bothered or can't be bothered. It's a choice. Just like coffee or tea. It is a choice. Right?! At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is ourselves. Or rather your own self. Quote on quote '开心就可以了'

And happy we shall be =).

Chocolate Brownies!

It was a Monday morning and brownie making was in SESSION! =)
Assistant/baker-in-the-making: Shirley TanYiXing (same as mine but w/o the 'g'; TanYiXin =D) also, whose birthday is TODAY! Happy 19th Birthday and thanks for yesterday.

Okay, back to business. Chocolate Brownie. Fudgy, chewy, melting bellied. YUMS.

Serving size: about 4 blocks? best to double =)

Ingredients:

Butter 125g (I used salted butter, see Salt)
Bitter sweet chocolate 4oz (1 bar)
Eggs 2 whole
Chocolate chips 1/2 cup
Vanilla extract 1 tbsp (but seriously, don't get too caught up with measuring this =D)
Salt 1tsp (I didn't add because I used salted butter)
Sugar 7/8 cups (use brown sugar for that extra fudgy-ness)
Plain flour 1/2 cup

Method:

Step 1: Take out butter and chocolate bar to soften for a few minutes. Preheat oven to 175 degree celsius. Line baking pan with foil and grease the foil.

TIP!: Save butter wrappers as grease-application-tool =)

Step 2: Melt butter and chocolate bar in a water bath (place a heat-proof bowl in a pot of boiling water)

Step 3: Add eggs one by one and MIX!

Step 4: Add vanilla, salt (optional, see above Ingredients), sugar and flour. MIX!

Step 5: Last but not least, add the chips and MIX!

Step 6: Pour batter into the foil lined pan.

Step 7: Place in the pre-heated oven for about 25 minutes.

I made a HUGE mistake: I was doing a double portion and I added 2 cups of chocolate chips instead of 1 cup. LOL. It was extremely chocolate-y and took longer to bake. Oh well, we learn from mistakes right?
