Day 1:
After the long and tiring flight, which was 12 hours by the way, I had to endure another 6 hours ride to a small town called Knysna. By the time we arrived, we checked into a chalet by a lake. After 18 hours of traveling, we were all tired and decided to walk to a nearest eatery for a bite.
During the 6 hours ride to Knysna, we had two stops. This was the first stop. It was the Shell petrol station. Bought some coffee and continued the journey. After about 2 more hours or so, we took a break at some petrol station. Had lunch there – lamb chop. Really tasty. Next, the journey was carried on for 2 hours or so and we finally reached our chalet. Here are the pictures. After such a long ride, we decided to walk to the nearby shops. But alas, they close early around this area. But I managed to talk pictures with water sculptures. Anyway, the only shop that we went to was a super market called “Pick N Pay”. Brought breakfast there and next we headed to have dinner at a fast food restaurant called “Wimpy”. This is what we had.
Day 2:
We headed down to the harbour for our trip. We were supposed to start the Eco trip thing at
The time finally reached and we set sail to another place called “
So after lunch, we set on a vehicle thing (see picture). The rest is just too boring to say so the pictures are there to do the talking.
The dinner that we had were sandwiches because by the time we ended it was late and many shops had closed.
Day 3:
We drove about 1 hour to Cango cave. Basically, we went there to see stalactites. These are made from calcium carbonate and take millions of years to form into this wonderful natural beauty. These are the pictures. Next, we headed to an Ostrich farm. We had pita pocket and salad. The meat inside the pita pocket is ostrich meat. Kinda yummy but taste somewhat like beef. After that was the tour. Pictures again!!!
Then after that was dinner. And by the way, the dinner was just fabulous!!!
Day 4:
We woke up early and left Knysna for
Day 5:
We went to Robben Island. It was an area for prisoners. Political prisoners. I wouldn’t want to write much about that stuff because I think I might just bore you to death (I was!). Anyway, here are more pictures. Oh, we shared the same boat as this foreign minister from china. Don’t really know who he is but here is a picture. For lunch, we had something lousy. Okay, so it wasn’t really lousy but it was bleak. Didn’t bother taking pictures. Dinner was worst as we had TV-dinners. More pictures that were taken before dinner.
Day 6:
We are going to a wine brewery thingy! Loads of wine and wine yard, and brewery place and stuff! Drank some and turn a little pink. Too bad no picture. haha.
Day 7 17/6/07 Sunday (Final day!)
