thinking...

When you feel your world is crashing, STOP, for you are not alone. =)

Monday Kiz - Bye Bye Bye (thanks kim leng <3)

AZU feat. SEAMO - Jikan yo Tomare

Riyu Kosaka - Danzai no Hana Guilty Sky

Our brain - the organ with important functions. Or so I thought. People argue that without the heart, a body dies and the brain can't do anything about it. It is how we view and value life that makes which ever organ important. Back to the brain, it is important and healthy to think...or so I thought. When we dive into thoughts and scenarios we shouldn't be thinking, how can that be good thinking? lol

It has been months since weird feelings penetrated (okay, wrong word) or rather enclose in me. Lost, confused, blank. These are the 3 words I could think of to describe my feelings and reaction. My mind went into absolute blank; perhaps this is what most teens call 'stoning'

As I walked on the empty streets an hour before midnight, it felt as if I forgot my own existence. As though I needed some reassurance that I actually existed. Out of a sudden, I stopped walking. There I was, under the street lamp. Cliche huh? But that cliche won't work in the land where you have street lamps every few metres.

And the raining is not helping. I love the rain. I really do. Cold, wet and windy. Perfect excuse to wear something thicker than usual. Besides that, it has really got into me. Not rheumatism, just that feeling of...I am not even sure what it is.

P.S. I hope as humans, we should judge people less. I am guilty of judging but I try to judge less and it would be a personal comment and not to be publicize just because we think (great emphasis on 'think') that particular person is 'wrong' (emphasis on ' ')

Time.

Time is of the essence. Or so its said. Everything bows to the wield of Time. Everything...

I checked. No vehicle. After reaching the middle of the zebra crossing, a motorbike ,out of no where, zoom passed. It nearly hit me. Huge emphasis on NEARLY. If I had been hit and died of a fatal wound, I wonder then...
I guess it is kinda young thinking about death. After all, we youngsters say that we have had it with life. But there are just so many avenues that have yet been explored or even opened. Is death what we actually want? Or is it an escape/lazy route we choose?

A journey down memory lane. Literally. Nostalgic presence as I passed by the roads thinking "mom drove pass these places to get me to school *pri* every morning". Time.

In a blink of an eye, I am 18. Soon, I'll be turning 19. I used to remember that I resented growing up. *kinda bring back the memories of S.H.E - 不想长大* Thinking that I would be contented with my friends back in Kindergarden. How fun =). Alas, nothing stops time.

Time heals all wounds. Does it?

Enough said.

Punggol (is this how you spell it?)

Dearest Ms Goh Kim Leng, I really have to thank your parents for moving to Punggol. LOL! But seriously, it is quite far. Okay, so it is DAMN far. Cost me S$2.26 by MRT then LRT and that is NOT including the bus I took from my house to Bedok MRT. *winston shows his uncle-ness* =X
Anyway, it was really an exciting experience. What is more exciting then this weather and winding up at some 'ulu-pandan' place?! LOL. Best of all, it felt like another country.

in the LRT...
random shot (first time taking Punggol LRT)
got kinda bored and took YT's pass =p
close up view...
get ready...
all not shy lor!
amelia pretend to be shy only

After nearly 2 hours and S$2.26, we reached Kim Leng's place. She got a dog recently *okay, so maybe I have lost touch with her...* and her name is CHOCOLATE. How sweet (pun intended). We got a welcome gift: Chocolate's holy water. It was kinda gross but thankfully, I was wearing BERMS and not LONG pants la. LOL!!! I think she likes me =). She listens to me yea. hahaha

chocolate is so cute.

Miss Clarity Cafe

My presence was called for today just to get back 2 papers which I failed one. Yes, I admit, I am dumb. =p
So after that and much waiting, we decided on Miss Clarity Cafe. I know I am quite back dated but hey, I didn't have the time to try with all the projects and Internship. Anyway, honestly speaking, the amount I paid for = the food. Meaning, the food isn't fantastic, but given the price, all is forgiven. =X

Salad Bruschetta

A typical simple-to-do dish consisting of bread+good extra virgin olive oil+whatever toppings you can get (which in this case was salami, tomato, egg plant). My salad was a garden of greens and you can never go wrong with balsamic vinaigrette. HOWEVER, the bread was toasted a little too crisp. Personally, not my favourite considering the crumbs will fall everywhere.

I forgot what this is =X fish I think.
Garlic something with fish =X
Baked rice (not sure about the fillings)
Baked pasta
A slice of triple chocolate
warm bread and butter pudding with a scoop of ice-cream. perfect for any rainy day =)

The mains were a little overrated. Though, for the price we paid, I think it was not that bad. The desserts were extremely SINFUL! The first bite got me elated for joy. Up till my last bite, I concluded that they used too much sugar. Nearly diabetic. One thing about desserts: It should be sweet but not to the extend where it over powers and musks the original taste. Recommended for slacking

P.S. no service charge and there is a 15% off for students ala carte menu (I think is 15%)

Indian tribute.

Once again, instead of work, YouTube. Anyway, below are two Indian songs. Really funny. Apologies to fellow Indians. No offense intended. Just a dose of laughter =)

Enjoy =D

Project?

Most Polys (with the exception of RP) have FYP/MP.
*Legend: Final Year Project (FYP) or Major Project (MP)
Consist of tons of research, brainstorming ideas, actual hands-on and other miscellaneous must-dos. I was not spared. Together with Daph and Hazel, we embark on a dangerous mission. To fulfil our quest, we have to literally go through the mill and back. Okay, so maybe a little exaggeration but hey, it is true that FYP/MP is one of the toughest hurdle before getting that diploma.

played around with my phone before I notice this 'cartoon' function *winston is suaku*
oops, only daph' no hazel =X *soon la*
my personal space
daph' hard at work

Anyway, FULL STEAM ahead! I shall come out of this battle triumphant =)

Grocery Shopping!

Ever since I have moved away from Ang Mo Kio 7 years ago, I haven't been to a wet market. It has been so long since I have entered one, smell the freshness of food, hear the hustle and bustle of moms, aunties and stall keepers alike and just feel that Singapore 'flavour'.

With supermarkets such as NTUC FairPrice, Cold Storage, Giant and the recent Hypermart where you can find ALMOST anything, going to the wet market seems passe. However, we should be thankful because the product might be the same but the atmosphere is definitely different. Where else can you find good advice for that cut of meat or ask what other ingredients you need to buy for that important dinner tonight?

Tonight's dinner: Black vinegar pig trotters with ginger!

This is a traditional Chinese post-natal dish. It is said that the black vinegar purifies the blood, the ginger removes the excess wind (somehow I find this true) and the brown sugar used prevents dampness. Pig trotters is high in collagen which is good for the joints and the added eggs are to nourish the body on the whole. However, most of us just eat it because it is just so palatable and nourishing (especially the collagen part =D).

the nice auntie cutting the meat for my mom

so many cuts of meat!

this is really expensive. I think S$15?

Anyway, ever since my SIP came to an end, I have been couped at home (too lazy to go out) and surviving on my infamous SALADS! As everyone knows, I am lazy and lousy photographer which is why: NO pictures or process of salad making. Anyway, too much carbs and dietary insoluble fibre is not good. Where is my PROTEIN?! Thus, I decided to make breaded chicken pieces. Firstly, finish using my bread crumbs. Secondly, easy to defrost and reheat. Thirdly, everyone just LOVE breaded chicken pieces.

Wonder what is my next challenge: asian western fusion?
