New York!

It has been so long since I last updated my blog. I would like to touch up on the Tuesday where there was a TBY (tan bo yue) gathering. Well, not exactly all of TBY people came.
After our practice, we decided to go out to eat. Actually, Jasmin was feeling a little, okay maybe not little but extremely hungry. Don't wish to go into the intricate details. So it so happen I thought of this fabulous place call 'New York, New York' at CityLink so the journey begins from here...
The Menu of the restaurant.
Jasmin and I posing for the camera and I was acting 'cute'.

Jasmin looks so dead due to her hungry pangs.

A candid shot of the seniors deciding on what to order.

A candid shot taken by KB.

Say 'twist', and smile!

Group photo!!

Peach freeze(Ordered by KB). $5.90

Menu description - frozen peach nectar with a touch of milk. Tasted real good. Not very sweet but just right with the combination of milk. Unlike a smoothie where it is really thick, this is just right. 4/5 stars.

Brats wrapped in Bacon & Cheese. ($14+) not confirm.

Menu description - Bratwurst sausages (Brats) tightly wrapped with bacon & grilled with loads of cheese! The fatty juices that combines with the natural meat juices oozes out as you chew it in your mouth. The cheese compliments the sausage and bacon as it reduces the oily feeling from the fat of the sausages. More than one type of cheese is used. Creamy and not very sticky. 4/5 stars.

Penne in tomato sauce(I changed it to Alfredo sauce instead) with fresh seafood. $11.90

Menu description - calamari, prawns & ocean fresh fish makes this marinara dish so delicious. Well, I was the one who ordered this dish. By first glance, it does looks kinda pathetic but, I got to say that the seafood is fresh but still cannot be compared to 'Fish & Co.' . The pasta was cooked just right. Not to hard and not to soft. I hate it when my pasta is easily manipulated. The sauce wasn't too sweet or salty. 3.5/5 stars.

Penne Mushroom Alfredo with Roast chicken. $12.90

Menu Description - creamy mushroom Alfredo sauce & half a juicy roast chicken, woohoo! Similar to the penne Alfredo seafood just that without the seafood but mushroom instead. If I'm not wrong, I think they used button mushrooms. Slightly saute to bring out the natural juice. Goes so well with roasted chicken meat. Unlike most roast meat where it is dry and hard, this roast chicken was actually tender and slighty moist. 4.5/5 stars.

Spaghetti Bolognese with GIANT meatballs. $10.90

Menu description - Good old American spaghetti & meatballs. Check out our meatballs! Personally, I am not a big fan of tomato based sauces (which was why I change mine to Alfredo sauce). But for this dish, it is impossible to use a cream based sauce. The meatball was season to perfection. The portion was a little more than enough for one normal individual. The tomato based sauce went really well with the spaghetti. The slight sourness of the tomato enables us to taste the original beef taste of the meatball. 3.5/5 stars.

London style fish & chips. $9.90

Menu description - Brought to you by an Englishman in New York. Taste exactly like the good 'old fish chips. However, most of the time, dory or halibut is used for batter covered deep-fried fish but in this case I don't think so. The fish flakes easily so I guess it's a little over-cooked. But still, taste okay. In case you are wondering why lemons are provided, this is because lemon is an acid which helps remove the 'fishy' odour. 3/5 stars.

Tagliatelle mushroom Alfredo & spare ribs. $16.90

Menu description - creamy pasta & our famous ribs. The pasta taste great. Maybe its due to how you like your pasta done. Fully cooked, semi-cooked and left to stand(my fav) or a just right. The ribs were really to die for. The secret sauce they used was marvelous. Tasted a little sweet yet the meat flavour was retained. However, the sauce mixed with the Alfredo and after some time the pasta tasted a little too un-naturally sweet. 4/5 stars.

Candy Floss!

After our dinner, we walked out of the restaurant and saw two ladies making candy floss so we were curious and went to take a look and found out : Candy floss is complimentary and the flavour was green apple. How unique!

Our group picture.

Well, after that, we went esplanade and did other stuff. I do not wish to bore you with the intricate details.

That will be all folks. Will upload my Jap trip photos soon. Cheers!
